Sonic Studios – Independent Production Studio

Sonic Studios is a small studio that makes you look like the big deal you are. With a multitude of offerings, we can reach your audience, wherever they may be. We make it easy. With one, 30-60 minute consultation, Sonic Studios can (most often) help our clients figure out their intended target audience and strategize how to not only reach that audience but to engage with them.

Andrew Johnson – Owner

Andrew graduated from UNBC with a B.Sc and a B.Ed in 2006. He founded Sonic Interactive Solutions, a multifaceted company specializing in web design and online marketing in 2007. Andrew has extensive experience in coding, programming and all areas of tech, as he graduated at the top of his class and continued on to make good use of these skills at Sonic Interactive Solutions. SIS continued to grow as the years passed and Andrew’s passion for visual media was discovered to be an essential asset he could provide his clients, offering curated and specific imagery and video for websites.
After growing larger than he could manage on his own, he began hiring fellow UNBC computer science graduates as contract workers. In 2011 he hired Joelle to help with business and marketing plans for his ever-expanding client base. After a couple years of working together, they decided to make the partnership more official and married in 2013.
Andrew is a lifelong-learner and is continuously furthering his education on photography, video creation, tech industry and algorithms. This makes him able to help his clients in a way that few other industry leaders can (he’s constantly the go-to guy at any event when the tech isn’t ‘working properly’).
In 2020 when the world gravitated to heavier online ways of communicating, Andrew was one of the first to go all in, renaming and rebranding to Sonic Studios. He wanted to simplify Sonic’s offerings to provide the best way of helping his clients tell their stories. andrew@sispg.com

Joelle Johnson – Creative Director

Joelle is a storyteller and communicator. She has a sales and marketing background and knows how to use a camera, but the story and the edit are her jam. After she was hired by Andrew in 2011, and after a couple of years trying to fight off his romantic advances, Joelle decided to choose to live her best life and shack up with her boss (soon-to-be-business-partner). Magic ensued and the two began to evolve Sonic Interactive Solutions into Sonic Studios. While she enjoys her job, Joelle prefers to be in the background workings of the business. When she’s not at work she elects to spend her time with their 3 children, cooking and gardening. joelle@sispg.com
